S Series Bevel Gear Reducer

The series includes sizes S37–S97, with solid or hollow output shafts and foot, flange or torque-arm mounting configurations. Standard units cover reduction ratios from 3.97 to 288, while combined reduction configurations provide ratios up to 33,818.
Standard motor packages cover 0.12–30 kW. Extended configurations offer higher power and torque capacities, subject to the selected unit’s mechanical and thermal ratings.
Select the reducer according to output speed, torque, operating hours, starting frequency and mounting position. Worm gearing requires careful review of efficiency, heat dissipation and lubrication, particularly for continuous-duty applications.

Provide the required output speed, torque, motor power, operating hours, starting frequency and mounting position. Include ambient temperature, shock loads and external shaft forces.
A helical gear stage reduces input speed before driving a worm and worm wheel. This combination provides further reduction and a right-angle output arrangement.
Standard configurations cover motor powers of 0.12–30 kW and model maximum torque ratings up to approximately 4,300 Nm. Selected extended configurations reach 45 kW and 10,200 Nm, subject to the exact unit’s ratings.
Standard ratios range from 3.97 to 288. Selected extended units reach 389, while combined reduction configurations cover 110–33,818. Available ratios depend on size and configuration.
No. Back-driving characteristics depend on worm geometry, efficiency, lubrication and operating conditions. Do not assume that the reducer can hold a load without a brake.
